The general requirements for obtaining a Florida real estate broker license include:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must have a United States Social Security number

Must have held an active real estate sales associate license for at least 24 months during the 5 years preceding the application

Step 1: Meet the general requirements and complete the 72 hours of pre-license education

Step 2: Submit the DBPR application: Click here for application

Step 3: Submit fingerprints

Step 4: Take and pass the Florida Real Estate Broker exam
- DBPR will send you an exam approval once your pre-license course is completed and your application is
approved.
- You can submit your application when you start your pre-license course.

Step 5: Provide proof of errors and omissions insurance coverage
