Steps To Become A Florida Realtor

The general requirements for obtaining a Florida real estate license include:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have a United States Social Security number

Step 1: Meet the general requirements and complete 63 hours of pre-license education

Step 2: Submit the DBPR application: Click here for application

Step 3: Submit fingerprints. Click here for vendor link

Step 4: Take and pass the Florida Real Estate License exam

            - DBPR will send you an exam approval once your pre-license course is completed and your application is

              approved.

            - You can submit your application when you start your pre-license course.

Step 5: Activate the license

​

Step 6: Complete the post-licensing requirements
